HAPPY AUTUMN EQUINOX!

Hello Friends!

Join me tonight to celebrate the beginning of autumn!

A GREEN WITCH GUIDE TO AUTUMN EQUINOX

September 22 @ 7 PM - 8:15 PM EST

Get your tickets HERE!

We'll explore a green witch approach to greeting the transitional autumn season with more warming foods and nourishing infusions that build resiliency within our bodies to help prepare them/us for colder weather.

We'll conclude our evening with a simple, meaningful ritual to celebrate the autumn equinox with story, song, drumming and meditation.

The Wheel of the Year is always turning.

When we celebrate the Earth's holy days,

Including the Solstices and Equinoxes,

Nature's cycles reveal that whatever is happening in any given moment,

this too shall pass.

And yet, these are also powerful moments,

moments of transition;

it is as if a gate swings open,

And we are invited to meet consciously with Spirit

And receive the insights we need to help us

co-create the world we know is possible,

the world we can only bring into being together.

At the Autumnal Equinox, Light and Dark are in perfect balance, helping us to find equanimity within ourselves. This is also the peak of the harvest, when we give thanks for the fruits of the Earth, as one season winds down and another begins. We take this opportunity to gather together, honor and celebrate the gifts of the Earth, and share what we have learned and reaped throughout the year, as we prepare ourselves for the season to come.

SIMPLEST SQUASH RECIPE

1 large squash (butternut, acorn, spaghetti or milk pumpkin)

coconut oil

sea salt

Place the whole, rinsed squash into a baking pan or large, cast-iron skillet.

Poke several holes in the top of the squash.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Cook for 1 ½-2 hours, until soft, depending on the size of the squash.

Cut open the squash, scoop out the seeds.*

Season to taste with coconut oil and sea salt.

Serve as is. Delicious on its own!

Other options: goes well with quinoa and cooked leafy greens such as kale.

Or puree and turn it into soup. Infinite varieties of seasoning are possible.

*Wash and bake these, too, coated in olive oil

and sea salt, for a wonderful, nourishing treat!

Later this week, join me as we explore
