NOURISH YOUR NERVOUS SYSTEM
And a fortifying recipe
Hello Friends!
I don't know about you, but between all the excitement of the past week
and the challenging events of 2020, I am focused on giving my nervous system all the nurturing and nourishing that I can! I'd love to share some of my favorite herbs, recipes and earth-connecting tips with you in the upcoming series.
HERBS FOR THE NERVOUS SYSTEM
November 16 @ 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM EST
Online Learning through the New York Open Center
Series of three weekly Monday classes - Nov 16th - Nov 30th
Get your tickets HERE!
We will explore several ways in which the mysterious nervous system may hold the ultimate key to our health. We'll explore how to use herbs such as sage, oat straw, lavender, basil, St. John's wort, nettles, mullein, and Solomon's seal to help address pain, nerve damage, inflammation, anxiety, MS, depression, neuropathy, headaches, and much more.
You can read my recent interview with the Open Center here. We discussed how I got started on this path, who and what inspires me, and how "Accessible, inexpensive, and effective herbal medicine is radical in today's world."
This class is ONLINE and available by
recording afterward if you can't attend in real time.
PERSONAL SUSTAINABILITY INFUSION
Favored by my apprentices!
¾ cup dried red clover blossoms
¾ cup dried nettle leaves and stalks
½ cup dried oatstraw
Boil the oats in a half-gallon of water. Put the dried herbs into a half-gallon jar and pour the boiled oats and water over them, filling the jar to the rim. Cap tightly. Steep the brew overnight. In the morning, or after 8 hours or so, decant the infusion by pouring off the liquid through a strainer or cheesecloth and squeezing out the herbs before composting them.
Store this tea in the refrigerator, as it is high in protein and will spoil rapidly if not refrigerated.

Love and Green Blessings,
