One more Sassafras post for the season…

Sassafras is such an imp
She won’t let you stay sad
No matter what is going on
She says, “It’s not that bad!”

(Excerpt from: The Gift of Healing Herbs)

Sassafras keeps my lungs healthy, my skin clear, and my spirits lifted during the cold, darkness of winter. And I love the taste of the leaves!

I generally mix green and colorful autumn orange and yellow leaves together to dry and then steep them overnight to make infusions. I have lots of simple recipes for blending sassafras with other herbs that are both healthful and delicious in The Gift of Healing Herbs  (available at Amazon).

I’m leaving now for Portland Oregon for the 6th fabulous Portland Plant Medicine Gathering - and am truly honored to be in cahoots with so many amazing people who are helping move us all forward into the new paradigm of reclaiming our earth for all beings, and I trust that includes you!!

And speaking of all beings, my little darling doesn't like for me to go away and makes his feelings known in a most charming way...

However, when you gotta go, you gotta go... so he takes up his new post to "guard" the final sassafras harvest of the season until my safe return ; )

Wishing everyone abundant green blessings, peaceful empowerment, and love,

~*~ RRB
