Hello Friends!

Autumn Equinox is almost here.

This is the Earth-holiday when, on the northern half of the planet, we focus on the final harvest of the season, and on honoring the abundance of gifts the Earth shares with us. Celebrating the Autumnal Equinox, when the day and night are in equal balance, we remember that we are part of nature; her rhythms live inside us, too. Simple rituals help inspire us to dance with the changes and adaptations being asked of us with more inner equanimity. We are alive in a time of sweeping challenges/opportunities for transformation!

We are all needed.

It can feel hard to say goodbye to Summer, but as we learn to celebrate all the cycles and seasons of life, not just our "favorites", it helps us meet life, and our health, as it is, not as we think it "should" be ... this is liberating!

And empowering.

Please note, tickets are limited and are first come first serve!

I always wanted to have a green thumb, but I didn't know that when I became an herbalist, I'd have many colors of thumb, depending on what plant or tree I was making a preparation with! Here, I'm working with the Elder tree (Sambucus) and as you can see, she shared her beautiful berry medicine with me in more ways than one. I'm making an elixir with these fresh berries, and here is a delicious, immune-strengthening way to use dried elder berries:

POWDERED ELDERBERRY HONEY SPREAD

1 cup elderberry powder

2 cups honey

Grind dried elderberries to make the powder.

Put them in a jar and pour the honey over them. Stir until the powder is saturated with the honey. This is ready to be used right away, and provides a powerful remedy for cold and flu that can be taken alone, spread on toast, added to tea, or whatever your imagination comes up with.
