Where There Are Women

I wrote this poem after being part of a healing circle guided by Uzuri Amini at
the International Women’s Writing Guild (IWWG.org) conference in June 2008. It’s
being read at the New England Women’s Herbal conference in August. Each of these
conferences was attended by over 500 women and when women gather, magic happens.
The missing opening phrase of the poem is, “Where there are women...”
